Kuno is a German artist with worldwide fame.
His sculptures consist of flowing lines and shapes. Kuno mainly uses brass and bronze as materials.
Some works are not cast, but made of iron and forged. Each work then gets its own patina or is covered with gold leaf. Some bronze works are polished until they shine bright like gold.
The heavy, yet light and delicate-looking constructions become mounted on a stone base, which is impressive contrasts with the apparently floating work. The overall effect of the sculptures, however, does not only arise from the flowing forms and their stone base.
Last but not least, it is the space around it that is inseparable
seems to be part of the material of the image and an essential one
is part of its operation: Kuno Vollet brings it 'in between' when it
were visible. This is precisely what gives his works their fascinating appeal.
gives strength.
