Feiko Koster was originally educated as an interior architect, but already developed an interest in photography at 16. As a youngster he started collecting photography and making photos as a hobby. When he returned to Holland after his economics study at the Arizona State University, he switched to interior architecture at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. A study much closer to the heart.
He founded the first outlet store in design furniture and after 25 years as an interior architect he answered to the echo of his past and graduated from the Fotoacademie (FOAC) in Amsterdam in 2009. Since then he has been a photographer with a special interest in portrait and has been a member of several photographic juries in The Netherlands as well as abroad. Until recent he has been head curator for Foto Festival Naarden (the oldest photo festival in The Netherlands) for four consecutive editions (8 years) and external curator of 033Fotostad.
Feiko & Eduard have been working together for FotoFestival Naarden. This collaboration worked out so nice that Feiko joined the gallery in 2017 and became owner of the gallery after the founder Eduard Planting retired in 2018.
